DARPA

This project, funded by the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA), aims to investigate strategies to counter the exponential cost curve typically associated with the fabrication of glass components for large, telescopic reflective or refractive optics. General Atomics (GA) plans to employ a proprietary design, leveraging its extensive experience in model-led device prototyping and fabrication. The project will involve multiple divisions within the company, keeping all development in-house to take full advantage of GA's comprehensive vertical integration capabilities.
